Facebook Gadget/Buttons

I was asked recently by "La Mera Mera" of Vintage Mafia/Snack Attack, if I could make some custom gadget/button pics. I made some of these for Facebook. I will add more tomorrow.

To save and use as a gadget/button do the following:
1. Right click on the color you'd like.
2. Save picture as (name and save onto your desktop.)
3. Go to "Layout"
4. Add a gadget
5. Choose picture
6. Browse and choose the previously saved gadget/button
7. Choose a title/caption/link and save.

If you have any special requests, I will make them as time permits. For now, enjoy these.

Easy Does It.

Sometimes I tend to over think a logo. The one you see above was so simple, I had to share it with you. I'll spend hours and hours working on a logo and come up with 20 different versions. What gets me is it's always the simplest ones that look good. Don't get me wrong, I like logos that look complex, but there is something to be said for simplicity. Here is a simple logo I created a few months ago for a client that owns an import/export business. The best thing about a simple logo is that it translates well into t-shirts, banners, etc. Enjoy!

Until next time, be creative.

AMIGOS.

This is me. One thing you should know is that I am big on art. All types of art including the written form. From time to time I will post some of my writings. I understand that not everyone may like them, and I'm willing to accept it. If you're a fan of it, please let me know.

“Friends”
By Danny Cordova

Friend of mine, friend to you
What is a friend a person like you
You talk, share, drink and think
Talking about days that you long and miss
There for a wedding maybe a birth
Death even, a friend to the end
Friends through thick and thin
Fat, happy and sad
We listen to one another
Advise for years, but really
Friends who needs them
Certainly not me, rather be alone
Than to put up with what I see
My friend, well me my friend
Do you follow or need I explain
A friend means nothing, must I say
Backstabbers, liars and cheats
Sleep with a wife laugh in your face
Hand in the pot stirring the mix
Friends who needs them
Certainly not I, twice I think

Action Painting.

One of my favorite artists is Jackson Pollock, which brings me to today's post.

My wife and I were looking for artwork to put up in the bedroom. Being the creative person I am, I said, "Let's paint something!" The easiest, and by far the funnest, type of painting is action painting a la Jackson Pollock. We had some leftover paint and put it to good use. After a few hours of work (mostly waiting for paint to dry), we had the above beauty. I strongly recommend everyone try this. Every painting will be different and yours, like ours, will be tailored to compliment the color of your room (if you use the leftover paint).

I'm in the process of creating other original masterpieces and when I finish them, I will post them up too. Stay tuned, folks!

p.s. Visit the Jackson Pollock web site for chance to create your own Jackson Pollock inspired drawing.

Starting off with a bang!

Oh my lovely shower curtain. Reminds me of some retro seventies pattern. This free background was inspired by the shower curtain hanging in my home. Enjoy and stay tuned for more freebies. Meanwhile, if you are in need of a logo or any graphic design work, please keep us in mind. We do awesome work (seriously).
