It Actually Rains In California

Well not really. I don't think it's a measurable rain. I like the rain so I'm in heaven. I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and an even better weekend. Enjoy and be creative.

P.S. The picture above is from the hillside where I live. Sully (my dog) likes sniffing around the area. That's where the rabbits live.

Artist Village Open House

Santa Ana Ongoing - First Saturday of the Month

Downtown Santa Ana comes alive with arts the first Saturday of each month when galleries, theatres, artists and performers in the Artists Village host a monthly Open House for the public. This free event attracts as many as 1,500 individuals who come from throughout Los Angeles and Orange County to walk more than 150 participating studios and galleries located in historic buildings in the heart of downtown Santa Ana.

Fire! Fire!

Back in October, 2007, the state of California suffered from a prolonged heatwave, low humidity levels and the howling Santa Ana Winds. The three elements needed for fire season. The fires literally hit close to home to me and my family here in Orange County, California, It was quickly determined that the fire in in Orange County was set by an arsonist. A horrible tragedy indeed. Several LONG, scary days of fire and a relentless wind and humidity drove me to design the scene above. Here are a few pics I took in the chaos of the first days of the fires.

A great big thank you to all the fire personnel from all over the state of California and the Irvine Police department for all their efforts.
